The hardwood floor that we just refinished is starting to peel, bubble and blister. What’s going on?
A:
You may have used too much stain, or didn’t give early coats enough time to dry. Check to make sure the stain is compatible with your wood floor, and make sure substances such as wax or soap weren’t still on the floor when you started staining. To fix the problem, you’ll have to take the stain up and do it again. Sorry.
