Carpet
We found a huge stain on our lobby carpet. We didn't have any reports of any recent spills. In fact, we recently cleaned the carpets just a couple of days ago. What's going on?
You are the victim of a latent stain. Maybe there was not a recent spill, but at some point, something hit the floor and wasn't promptly cleaned. Your effort to clean probably sparked the surfacing of the stain, most likely from water from the cleaning machine that soaked into the backing, which caused a chemical reaction that brought the stain to the surface. You should probably have a professional examine the issue.
Previous Question: Our carpet was installed in the last few weeks and it has these dark strips running across it every few feet. Did we get damaged carpet or was it installed wrong?
