Laminates - Installation & Repair

Q:

Can I put laminate flooring over wood flooring?

A:

In most cases, yes. If hardwood was installed by gluing it to concrete, the hardwood must come up. If not, moisture may get trapped between the hardwood and the laminate underlayment and cause the wood to rot.
