General Questions
Q:
Is it possible to lay wood flooring on tile floors?
A:
If the floor is a vinyl composition tile floor and you want to put a hardwood floor on top, we recommend you remove the vinyl tile first. But, to leave the existing floor, consider installing a floating wood laminate or an engineered floating floor, since you don't have to nail it. For either choice, you should allow a professional to complete the job. You can find one on this web site in the "Find a Professional" section.
