Carpet - Installation
What can I use to remove a outdoor carpert that's glued down on the cement floor?
To remove your outdoor carpet, you could cut the carpet into 12-inch-wide strips by whatever the length of the carpet is (It is easier to pull up carpet in strips rather then in one piece). After the carpet is removed, there may still be backing still on the floor. Simply scrape it off with a 3-inch razor scraper. If a lot of backing remains, you will have to use a machine scraper, which can be rented from a floor supply store.
Previous Question: I want to put new carpet in my basement, which already has indoor/outdoor carpeting on it. The indoor/outdoor doesnt look bad, we just want a new look. Cant we put the new carpet over the existing stuff?
