Q:
I tried to do a do-it-yourself job on our home’s entryway, which transitions from vinyl to carpet. The tack strip broke and I tried to replace it, but I can’t get it to lay right.
A:
There are many issues in a transition area like this. I suggest calling a professional to fix the problem.
Next Question: I want to put new carpet in my basement, which already has indoor/outdoor carpeting on it. The indoor/outdoor doesn’t look bad, we just want a new look. Can’t we put the new carpet over the existing stuff?
